Privacy policy

This policy explains how FindsRoom (“we”) handles personal data when you use this website. We are the data controller for the processing described here.

Data we collect

• Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects information about pages viewed, device type, approximate location and how you arrived. IP addresses are not stored by GA4.
• Anonymous link counts. When you click a link to Amazon we add one to a daily counter for that product and page placement. This counter contains no identifiers and no cookies are set.
• Security logs. Our hosting provider processes IP addresses for security and abuse prevention. Rate limiting uses a one-way hash of your IP address that expires within minutes.
• Correspondence. If you email us, we keep your message to respond and for our records.

Lawful bases

Analytics: consent (you can withdraw at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer). Anonymous counts, security and correspondence: our legitimate interests in running and protecting the site.

Sharing and international transfers

We use processors including our hosting provider (Vercel), database provider (Supabase) and, with consent, Google. Some processing may take place outside the UK under appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Amazon

When you follow a link to Amazon.co.uk, Amazon’s own privacy notice applies to what happens there.

Retention

Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Anonymous counters are retained indefinitely as they contain no personal data. Correspondence is kept for up to two years.
