Editorial standards
Editorial policy
1. How we find topics
We look for lawful, independent signals of consumer demand: our own search and analytics data, licensed keyword data, approved trend data and research notes written by our editors from public sources. We do not scrape Amazon or other websites in breach of their terms, and we do not claim to know Amazon sales volumes or rankings.
Each topic is scored on commercial buying intent (30%), independent demand signals (25%), evergreen relevance (20%), editorial differentiation (15%) and seasonality (10%). These scores are research hypotheses that help us prioritise — they are not predictions of sales.
2. How products are verified
- An editor confirms the exact product (ASIN) and checks its specifications against independent or manufacturer sources.
- Affiliate links are checked to make sure they point to the right product on Amazon.co.uk.
- We only show images we own or are licensed to use commercially, and we record the evidence of that licence. Images are removed when licences expire.
- New products are never published automatically. Only products that have already passed verification can be included in automated daily selections.
3. How we use AI
We use AI tools to help analyse research and to draft guides. AI output is treated as a draft: it is checked automatically against our rules (for example, no prices, discounts, ratings or invented testing), fact-checked, and then reviewed and approved by a named editor before publication. AI cannot approve content or change our settings.
4. What we will never do
- Quote prices, discounts or deals copied from Amazon.
- Invent ratings, reviews, testimonials, sales figures or bestseller status.
- Claim hands-on testing that did not happen.
- Create false urgency.
5. Corrections and updates
Guides are reviewed on a schedule and whenever a product changes. If you spot an error, please contact us and we will correct it promptly. The “Updated” date on a guide changes only when its content meaningfully changes.
6. Independence
We earn commission from qualifying purchases on Amazon.co.uk. Commission rates do not influence which products we recommend, and brands cannot pay for inclusion.
